Da T.R.U.T.H LIVE in Concert, Nairobi – 2010

What’s up my people!
Been a minute on this joint but forgive my absence. The Blog isn’t paying for my shoes, bread, butter nor other fetishes or necessities…yet. 🙂 so I think my hiatus can be let off. Thanks guys, you’re the best! clap for yourselves.

Anywho, it has been one eventful week..from working like a donkey in a horse race at work to seeing the fruition of a 7yr+ wait of a Cross Movement Records (CMR) artist come to Kenya, Nairobi, and rock the stage.

How I waited with baited breath..Someone, Anyone to come..be it Phanatik, The Ambassador, The Tonic, Da T.R.U.T.H…anyone!!

And like a God-send, there he came. Having parted with my Kshs. 250, I was among the throngs drawn to NPC Valley Road on a chilly Friday to culminate this long wait.

(Here is where you exhale, having read all this useless waxing lyrical narration I’m doing..)

So along with my now good pals and Photo fraternity Steve Kitoto, Mutua Matheka, Diana Ngila, David Mutua, Saitoone, Shuhi, Nonnie et al (we need to look for a name guys!) we convened there..all waiting for Da Moment of TRUTH (Ironically that’s his name of Da T.R.U.T.H’s first album)

Of course I can’t forget to mention unforgettable performances by Eko Dydda, Nasarathepoet, DanNumber8 and the crazy B-Boys and B-Galz in the house who helped bring the house down.

Here’s a snippet.

And last but definitely not least, Eko Dydda…

And some energetic artist guy whose name I can’t seem to remember now..(forgive me, I suffered a knock on the knee that night. Caused selective amnesia. I’m sure I’ll be fine after a while)

That’s about it folks. Keep it locked…soon to come (god willing), Cece Winans Concert – Live in Nairobi,  Kenya.

Blessings.
